Three ways to keep it cool.

Good news is Saturday's forecast doesn't burn the way last week's dog days did. So, let's get back to savoring these last couple months of summer. It's always advisable to bring a bottle of water with you to the Flea and, of course, know your options for chilling out, cooling down throughout the day. Here are some of our favorites ways to keep it cool for August.

1. GET THE SCOOP AT MASON'S CREAMERY

Hot day? Of course, we all scream for ice cream. The ice cream revolution that's been sweetening up Cleveland the past few years has set a high bar for anyone serving frozen treats in the city. Even chocolate and vanilla seem to be on their finest behavior. We're constantly blown away by creative, inventive, you-wouldn't-think-it-would-be-delicious-but-it's-quite-heavenly flavors.

Mason's Creamery flavors for August Flea are no exception: Cardamom, Lucky Charms, Milk Chocolate, Thai Tea, Rising Star Coffee and Local Peach. Find them in BOOTH 147.

Mason's Creamery is a small-batch homemade ice cream shop at 4401 Bridge Ave. in Ohio City. Jesse Mason and Helen Qin use only the best ingredients they can source to create fresh takes on the classics and their own unique flavors. It's probably in your best interest to try one of each.

2. BUST INTO YOUR (BOOZY) SLUSH FUND

If you missed last month's boozy slushie debut, please ignore us as we bask in the memory of Porco Lounge's Limon Dee, and be sure not to miss the August slushie flavor: Negroni!

The whole Flea Bar menu has been refreshingly reworked this month by Mahall's. Alongside spiked frescas and bourbon tea, Mahall's has created a Negroni slushie that brings together campari, Watershed Distillery gin and vermouth into one chilly delight.

You'll find the Flea Bar right inside the south entrance, off Superior Avenue. See the full menu, which also includes cooling cocktails and beers.

3. COOL DOWN WITH A LITTLE FEVER

Flea season hits fever pitch this weekend ith the latest addition to our apparel collection: Flea fever tanks! The tanks glow bright blue and neon yellow, demanding that summer stay put.

We love the fervor that each Flea week brings to our community and thought these tanks were the perfect way to where our Flea hearts on our sleeve... less tanks.

Want one? Grab one for $18 in the Flea Booth merch tent, near the south entrance (off Superior Ave) of the Flea. They're hot stuff for men and women. We'll also be hocking Sunday faves, like Champagne for Breakfast, Oysters & Antiques and other wearables.
