Fall in Cleveland bustles week in/out with everythings you must-do. Yet it's the perfect time to escape to woodsy outskirts for weekends of roughing it. #CampFlea (that's what we call September Flea) has built more adventure, more campfire smokiness into your favorite monthly treasure hunt. Each month the Flea freshens its roll-call with 10-15 new faces. September's Camp Flea welcomes a hardy batch of talented new kids. Here's a preview of who's bringing their handmade, woodworked and fabulously found wares to the Flea. Visit the official #CampFlea page for the complete list of vendors and newbies.
Sam Cahill (pictured) of 2nd Shift Design Co. is hardly a stranger to the Flea grounds. 2nd Shift, a contemporary product design studio based in Cleveland, has been at the core of our #BuildTheFlea project, designing and handcrafting tables, benches, A-frame tents, bars and other infrastructure you'll continue to see at the Flea through fall. The studio also makes/sells smaller implements, like wooden hanger frames, keyplates and grid shelves. Find Sam in Booth 56.
Who goes camping empty handed? We found new vendor Ellie Jane Bags waxed canvas bags to be the perfect portage (and accessory) for a weekend of woodsing. Totes, wristlets, clutches and crossbody designs can be found in Booth 24.
Roughing it doesn't mean you have to be rough on yourself, guys. Rams Horn Beard Co. (Booth 65) handcrafts beard oils, soaps, hair care and other necessities to keep you living life at its manliest.
Earlybird Brewing Company takes over the taps at the Camp Flea bar this weekend. Be an early bird to this new nanobrewery's party. Grab a beer and you can say it was totally your favorite new brew first.

Food is half the adventure, as always, at Camp Flea. Many of this month's vendors will add campfire faves and woodsy flavors to their menus. Of course, s'mores are on the list.

Just call them Troop 216. New food vendor Black Pig gets serious about camp life, pledging a menu of housemade pork and vegetarian sausages, s'mores kits (to go) and apple cider. You'll find these smoky treats in Booth 2, right at the south entrance of the Flea.
Perhaps we're saying a slow so-long to summer, but that doesn't mean everything must go. Fresh Fork Market will have juicy watermelons and other locally grown fare for your Camp Flea table.
Forage your lunch in the forest.
Master forager Jeremy Umansky of Trentina plucks ingredients for his culinary masterpieces (like this Campfire Torta) straight out of nature.
Local nature, at that. Plants and pieces, like nettles and mushrooms, leaves and buds, make it into these dishes. Stop by Team Sawyer in Booth 11 for a taste and stay tuned for a Campfire Torta recipe to make yourself.

Sunday Market is back in full-swing Sunday, September 20th over in that pocket neighborhood we all love, Hingetown. We think a nautical theme is fitting for our Paris of the Midwest (that's how we like to think of Cleveland), especially since the Champage Garden features a French patisserie and oyster bar. What's not to love?
Do oysters taste better when served out of locally hand-built pottery? You'll have to see for yourself and nab a dish from Clear Blur Design.
Say hello to Mama Jo (Homestyle Pies). Her pumpkin, pecan and caramel apple pecan pies will fast become a camp favorite. If you have beat us to the bite. You can catch their debut over at Sunday Market. You'll have to fight us for the pecan pie, though.
