Our Campaign for Creativity
We think that thinking creatively is something we’re all born with. But as we get older, we utilize less of that courage we had to take big first steps or scale that crib wall or try out for that part in the school play or pass a note to a person we think is cute.
We think courage is connected to creativity. Because creativity begins in our hearts. With a desire to do something that truly makes us feel alive.
We lose this as we grow. Not all of us, of course, but many of us.
We end up in jobs we don’t like. In marriages we’re not invested in. And then we also have no creative energy to give to our city (or really anyone else).
Of course, this isn’t everyone. Just a lot of of us.
The reason we WANT Cleveland Flea to be its most creative is so that we can all benefit from that. When we see people daring greatly and LOVING IT, it’s infectious. It’s inspiring. And then we also begin to believe we can do it, too.
So, we’re not really just a market. We’re a place that helps you realize that Creativity is the act of truly following your heart. Even if it’s not practical. Even if it’s scary.
And all of our Creative Small Businesses are examples of that.
They are all daring greatly. They are all doing nearly-impossible things. They are all beating the odds and working in ways that they’re unfamiliar and learning along the way.
Let’s get inspired by them and find ways to do that in our own lives.
