Office upgrades- cubby renovations.
Aubree (our Artist in Residence) and I took a Saturday and transformed the offices of Liz Painter + Sammy Friedman and we’re only slightly obsessed.
For reference, here’s the before photo.
I know, right?
The ladies of the flea didn’t know that we were taking on this project. So, this morning, we got to surprise them with their new offices. And it was magical. Here’s Liz getting settled in her new space- surrounded by a cheerful yellow and daisies patterned off of a painting by her grandmother.
And then there’s Sammy. Sophisticated. Innovative. Creative. Aubree and I decided a modern leopard print would work perfectly for her.
The before was a blank slate. A slightly dirty blank slate. But the original color, a deep rust, was perfect so we wanted to compliment it without it clashing too much with our existing design- a collaboration last year with Lauren Noel of Lady Noel Designs.
Sammy also got a little essential oil diffuser to create a more spa-like experience in her cubby and a letterboard that reflects her love for black. Most everything we do for Sammy involves black (recent examples are her black cake from Canela Bakeshop or her customized black-on-black #teamflea shirt).
We’re pretty lucky these two call #TeamFlea their team.
Stay tuned for more interior upgrades- we’re moving to artist workstations for Aubree and Sam next!
